After a very long time, I finally managed to finish watching Himouto! Umaru-chan R. I watched it with my wife, as it seems to be one of the few anime that she really enjoys.
I had a great time with it. Umaru continues to be the adorably cute nerd inside, and this seasons shows a bit more of her relationship with her brother and the other characters. Although overall the first season was slightly better, another season would be more than welcome.
Watch it if you
Want something funny;
Like anime about otakus/gamers;
Don’t mind the occasional scene with the young girl with big boobs;
Don’t watch it if you
Are totally averse to any kind of fanservice or “big brother” stuff
Disenchantment is a Netflix Original created by Matt Groening, the man behind The Simpsons and Futurama. While the previous shows are contemporary and futuristic, Disenchantment takes us to a wacky medieval fantasy.
Final Space arrived on Netflix a few weeks ago, and a lot of people are crazy about it, myself included.
An astronaut named Gary and his planet-destroying sidekick called Mooncake embark on serialized journeys through space in order to unlock the mystery of where the universe actually ends and if it actually does exist.
I have to admit, this is a guilty-pleasure style Waiting on Wednesday. This time, a light novel that recently had an anime adaptation: A Sister’s All You Need, by Yomi Hirasaka (Author) and Kantoku (Artist). The Japanese title is Imouto sae Ireba Ii. I still don’t have watched the anime yet, as I’m waiting for a BD release, but I usually enjoy stories about authors, artists or about people in the anime industry, so I guess this one is for me 🙂
As always, you can buy or check more info on Amazon.
Itsuki Hashima is a novelist who’s hopelessly enamored with the idea of little sisters and is constantly surrounded by colorful characters. A world class genius and love-guru who’s beauty almost seems a waste on her. A girl who’s constantly troubled by her friendships, love interests, and can’t even find refuge in her dreams. A ridiculously talented illustrator. Each of them have as many problems and worries as the next and they never have a dull day together as they play games, travel, and work together. From the same author of the famous I Don’t Have Many Friends, Yomi Hirasaka!
Many titles have just one season and leaves us wanting more. Here’s my top recent anime that I want a second season. To avoid repeating myself, I’ll just say that all titles here have very interesting characters, and I want to know more about them and see how their relationships go and how they develop and grow.
