When I thought I was going to keep posting on a regular basis, college happens. Next week is the last before reading week, and despite having only one midterm test, I have a lot of assignments. So, unfortunately, I don’t have much time or energy to update the blog as much as I would like. But don’t worry, I’ll return soon.
Today is thanksgiving here in Canada. It’s kind of weird, in a good way, since in Brazil there’s no thanksgiving. So, today is my first time celebrating it, and it’s going to be really cool. Friends are coming over for dinner, we have a bit of alcohol, maybe we’ll play Fibbage 3. But anyway fun is guaranteed.
And if you ask me what I’m thankful for, I would say:
Coming to Canada this year, after so much planning and preparing;
Making some great friends at the college;
My wife who’s here with me, and who is giving me support all this time;
Being back with a blog, and have you following and visiting my blog!
A few years ago I decided to start The Americans on Netflix. Today, after taking way too long to watch the 6th and final season, I have finally managed to finish it. And I must say: it was worth every minute and I’m both sad and happy that it ended.
Roughly a month ago my stomach was not on its best. Having a mild case of gastritis, and the occasional acid sensation on my stomach, I decided to cut it (along with spicy food) for a few days. In the end, I was able to go 72 hours before giving up and having a cup of coffee. To be fair, it was Saturday afternoon and I was barely functioning.
Lately, I started feeling that I needed to get back on track when it comes to my hobbies. I noticed how I miss playing music, Dungeons and Dragons, and doing Yoga, Tai Chi Chuan and other cool stuff. On top of that, I realized that I’m 30 and changing my career path. I also need to exercise both mind and body and learn new things for my career and also for self-improvement.
The Dragon Prince was released recently on Netflix. With new Netflix Original shows arriving every week, it’s really hard to keep up with everything. But I think this Avatar: The Last Airbender spiritual successor might be worth your time.
This weekend was interesting. Friday after class me and my classmates went looking for winter clothes, unfortunately without success. But still we had lunch at a cool Japanese restaurant downtown.
Saturday late afternoon I went to Sherwood Park with my wife. When we arrived there was getting dark already. So, we didn’t walk too much there, considering it’s not well-lit and had a sign alerting for coyotes.
But anyway, it was good going out and waking around a bit. We did manage to take some cool photos, as you can see in this post.
